The Power Smart Manitoba Games are the province’s largest ongoing multi-sport program bringing together participants from across the province. The Games are held every two years and alternate between summer and winter sports events. Each set of Games involve upwards of 10,000 athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.

Participation in the Power Smart Manitoba Games begins with regional qualifying events. Regional teams of approximately 200 athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff go on to participate in the Provincial Finals.

The Manitoba Games Council is responsible for the overall stewardship of the Power Smart Manitoba Games. Sport Manitoba supports the Council in overall planning and management, promotion and marketing of the Games

Sailing will be organizing qualifying regattas for each of the regions already in 2011.  They will be held in the same format as the actual Games competition. The top girls and top boys  in each event from each region will be selected for the team.

After the athletes have been selected, there will be training opportunities in each region in the form of clinics run by the clubs or by our Mobile Sailing School. There will also be training opportunities at the Winnipeg Sailing Centre.

Click on the link for your region to find out more about the qualifiers, events in your region, athlete, coaches and officials development opportunities and the info for the regional contact.
